Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits "Cuvée Maëlie" 2023

Régionale. Pinot Noir, planted 1966, 1.04 ha in Concœur (Hautes-Côtes de Nuits), Concœur-et-Corboin.

Above Vosne, planted east-west, clay-limestone and silt soil. 100% de-stemmed, 1-week cool maceration (10°C), minimal punch-downs, aged for 15 months in used barrels, racked once before bottling. This parcel is just at the beginning of the Hautes-Côtes in Concoeur, where the grapes mature at a similar rate to those in the Côte de Nuits. Vines are pruned to a Guyot Simple and harvest is by hand with yields of about 45 hL per hectare.
