Village. Pinot Noir, planted 1986, 0.34 ha in Les Vigneux, Vosne-Romanée.

From the Vougeot side, below Les Suchots 1er Cru, shallow gravel clay-limestone soil. 100% de-stemmed (65% whole berries), minimal punch-downs. Aged 16 months in barrels (67% one-year-old, 33% new), racked once before bottling. Vines in this parcel are pruned to Guyot simple and are more stressed due to the gravel soil: they produce fewer clusters with smaller grapes. Harvest is entirely by hand with yields of approximately 35 hL per hectare.
